52-week challenge of plein air painting for the project I am River.
In this plein air painting challenge, I aim to observe and document Alexandra rivers—Mata-Au and Manuherikia, along with all the bodies of water that feed into them—over the course of an entire year. My goal is to witness the changes throughout the seasons and to better understand our connection to these rivers.
I have committed to one location for one painting every week no matter the weather.

Step 2: Drop a Pin on Your Favourite Spot
Zoom in to find your favourite part of the river (inside the blue triangle or not too far from its limits please).
double-Click on the spot.
choose the colour dot pink.
Add a short description—why is this spot special to you?
Step 3: Share Your Thoughts!
If the map allows comments, write a few words about your pinned location. Did you have an amazing picnic there? Is it the perfect swimming spot? I would love to know!
don't forget to write your first name in the pin's title.
