La gazette #2 - Easter hunt is on! Find the chocolate.
Hello my fellow Art lover,
Are you TIRED of this whole A.I. constant collection of perfect polished images on your screen?
Do you strive for juicy paint marks, gesture, textures and colours?
Do you crave a real Art experience?
Time to make it happen my friend.
A few days ago, a friend of mine asked me where she could see my work in person. So, if you wonder the same, here are two opportunities for you, this April. Two opportunities to slow down, enjoy life (with food, wine and friends) and recharge your energy tank with colourful landscape paintings full of NZ light and playful cardboard sculptures to bring back home and enjoy every day.
1- Cash & Carry Easter exhibition 2025 (COAS event) is around the corner, and I have entered a handful of paintings for you to "look into" in-person (nothing better than standing in front of real Artwork) while sipping a glass of Central Otago wine at the food and Wine festival in Clyde.
Your weekend highlight awaits in the Dunstan Masonic Lodge in Clyde during Easter weekend (18th-21st April).
I have also entered a 5th surprise piece which is a bit different, just for you.
ASSiGNMENT for fun: if you want to play: Go - spot it - look into it - listen to it and tell me all about it! I want to hear about your memory of it, the feeling it revealed to you.
LEAVE A COMMENT A THE BOTTOM.
Selection of paintings for the Easter exhibition:
Purakanui Bay series
Shape of light Oamaru series
Tunnel Beach Otago series
You call me Paradise.
[Heads up, I will ask your favourite cm square of this last painting "You call me Paradise" next week, so you better give it a closer look... slow down, notice the texture, the colours, take notes of your favourite moment(s), your Easter Egg in a painting, isn't it pure JOY?!!!
I will share mine with you in the next gazette...]

2- My beautiful friend Marie Velenski took some of my cardboard sculptures to display in her little jewellery shop in Old Cromwell precinct so if you missed my last October Open Studio (remember that Saturday when it was snowing and it felt like a better idea to stay at home with a warm cuppa) or want to see the sculptures in person, you must give Marie a visit. I love spending time in her shop chatting for hours. She is awesome! You will love your visit too, promise!
Cardboard sculptures still available here
PLUS+ she makes the most exquisite glass jewellery, so beautiful, so meaningful (like a dream around your neck), and so easy to wear daily. A real treat! You know my feeling about earrings,
a pair of earrings for each day of the month
makes you live longer...(it's an old saying I think)
[Don't tell anyone but sometimes, I even wear 2 different earrings because I've got two ears and life is too short. Living the dream, baby, living the dream!]
You don't want to miss this, go check out the shop soon, before it closes for winter (beginning of May)!

PLUS+ Marie bought one of my paintings from "Leave the world behind" and it makes me so freaking HAPPY that she loved this piece so much, she wanted to hang it on in her house and visit this moment of light every day.
LOVLOVLOV!!!!
Thank you, Marie, for adopting "Friday vibes on Royal Terrace". You rock, girl!
"Friday vibes on Royal Terrace" (oil pastel and handmade paint on board)

I hope you have a great weekend, wherever you are.
