La Gazette - a place to connect with other Art lovers.

Hello my fellow Art lover!

I am so happy to invite you in this space again. I have big plans for this year and even if you haven't heard from me for a while, I have been working backstage to take you on an adventure in the land of Art!

Quick flashback to catch you up in a time-bit:

-January was fabulous with the craziest art show I have ever done (so far!) LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND.

So proud of that girl! and so grateful for all your support everyone!

Big hugs and Big Love heart again ... always!

-February was all about resting and recharging. For me, it means creating without any end goal, just following my curiosity. So, I gave myself the permission to play with different materials and techniques and to dream my next adventure.

How do YOU rest, friend?

What's is your fav way to recharge and fill up your batteries?

if you don’t mind sharing, leave a comment at the bottom of this gazette.

AND SOMEHOW, YES, BACK TO VOLUME. Indeed, it looks like I am not finished with that. My mind knows something about me that I don't know yet, it keeps on revisiting this path, and so, I follow... more to come, I am sure.

-March was all about decisions-decisions and thinking ahead to make my future project possible by applying for funding. The exercise of writing a grant application is always challenging but I push through, and with the help of amazing people, I submitted this baby on time. (VICTORY!!!) I am so pumped up by this next project and can't wait to share it with you.

Maybe you guessed already, if you follow my Friday adventures and the 52-week River paintings challenge I started back in February!

YES, I want to celebrate our beautiful rivers, Mata-Au and Manuherikia here in Alexandra, and their precious treasures.

That's why I have put together a giant project called I AM RIVER!

I will tell you everything about it soon too... Do Not Worry.

In the meantime, and just for you, a recap of 8 Fridays documenting time passing by and glorious light on the river - all about slowing down and noticing, taking the time to just be part of the whole. Best feeling in the world!

what is YOUR favourite spot on the river?

Maybe you can help me: where should I explore/paint next?

Send your ideas, pin your favourite river spot on the map and tell me why in the comment box. I would love to hear about your own connections to the river. (read how-to guide at the bottom)

Finally, a reading option if you missed this pure piece of literature in the art show online, Leave the World Behind.

I still stand by it even if it is a bit messy... the loop loops, it works! the Love triangle loop of Art - a theory.pdf
